ON Sunday, February 1, Mina once again became the site of a tragedy that saw the death of hundreds of haj pilgrims—those who had come to the Holy Land to comply with the final pillar of Islam by making the Haj pilgrimage. This time the number of dead reached 251 people, of which 54—the largest component—came from Indonesia.
