Nafsiah Mboi:
Prevention is the best course

Commenting on reports that the government will decrease the funds allocated for AIDS in Papua in 2008, Nafsiah Mboi, Secretary of the National AIDS Commission, says she regrets the decision.

AIDS management in Papua is costly because it must reach people throughout the province. “Epidemic status in Papua has reached many levels of the society,” said Nafsiah. “It is no longer just concentrated on the high-risk groups.”
