Between Gorontalo and Sri Lanka
Despite the war in Sri Lanka, the country still records significant developments. Its growth prompts Gorontalo, a new province in eastern Indonesia, to learn from Sri Lanka. Through exchange programs the former has something to learn from Gorontalo, too.

CONFLICT is heating up in Sri Lanka. Recently, the United Nations claimed more than 2,800 civilians have died in that country in the war this year alone. UN Human Rights High Commissioner Navi Pillay, as quoted by Koran Tempo (March 25), warned both the Sri Lankan government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) guerrilla group that they could be blamed for committing war crimes.
