Arabica coffee production in Indonesia began in 1699. Some varieties grow in Baliem Valley in Papua and are just waiting to be discovered.

WHILE other coffees in eastern Indonesia already made their ways to international market, coffee growers in Papua still have to struggle developing their coffee business. Toraja coffee from Sulawesi now is featured by Starbucks as ‘Kopi Kampung’ (Village Coffee) and Flores coffee from East Nusa Tenggara has made its way to Singapore and Thailand.
