AMAP accompanies the announcement of Arborek Village’s Regulation on the Management of Community-based Marine Conservation Areas. This regulation was signed by village chief Daud Mambrasar and by Aristoteles Mambraku Watem, head of the Village Consultative Board. Arborek, in the Meos Mansar subdistrict of Raja Ampat regency in West Papua province, may be the first village to issue such a regulation.
