BEGONIA Tuti Siregar results from crossbreeding between two species, Begonia listada and Begonia acetosa.
An important factor for successful crossbreeding is to find two good parents. A cold and humid environment is also an important factor.
Ideally crossbreeding is done in a cool temperature at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level. Heat would cause the stamen to dry and die.
