THE background of that Indonesian archipelago painting is rather unusual: a kneeling woman staring at the sun on her right side and the moon to her left. At the central part of her body, emerges the head of a bird that looks like the garuda. The painter, 40-year-old Dina Mahardika, called this painting Negeri Bokong (The Butt Country).
