AT a meeting with President Barack Obama in Washington DC, on April 26, Tri Mumpuni was totally taken aback when Obama greeted her in Indonesian: "Hi, Tri, how are you? From Jakarta, ya?" The petite woman, known for pioneering the community-based microhydro power plant was pleasantly surprised to be singled out by the US President.
