IT was 5am, and the breeze of cold air was chilling to the bone. Darkness still loomed all over the place, yet the Muhajirin alley, North Kuin, Banjarmasin City, was already bustling with activities. Fifty-year-old Siti Mariyam scurried to her jukung (skiff, as it is called in Banjar), which, as usual, was docked on the bank of Martapura River one of Barito River branches.
