Water Flows to Dadawea

In several villages in Ngada regency, Central Flores, water was once a rarity frequently fought for. Locals finally managed to “penetrate” water springs through three-village cooperation.

THREE children in Dadawea village were filling buckets with water to capacity that noon. They were apparently cheerful. While kidding around, the three were sprinkling each other. To most visitors, this may just be a common view: children everywhere will surely play with water for joy. However, in the highland of Dadawea this is uncommon.
