The Pasinrilik of Gowa

The unique traditional culture of the Gowa Kingdom spread to regions where the Makassar language is spoken. The essence of its art is speaking in lyrical prose accompanied by music. It is increasingly difficult to find sinrilik musicians these days.

THE lengthy applause of the roughly 300 invitees in the audience echoed in the Hasanuddin University Research Activity Center in Makassar.
