Blessings of the Season

To small but creative entrepreneurs, Christmas is a time of blessing. It is when orders for cakes and cookies, for special candles and seasonal decorations, flow in. Tempo English takes a tour of enterprising businesses that capitalize on the special demands of the year-end festivities. Among these entrepreneurs are the handicapped students in Medan, North Sumatra, who produce unique candles especially for the occasion, the special crafts people of Bali who produced Christmas decorations and the prolific bakers of Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. Their products have made the holiday festivities more meaningful and joyful. A special report on the eve of Christmas in different parts of the archipelago.
