Every afternoon at 5pm, hundreds of people wait in line at a residence on Jalan Puri in Medan, North Sumatra. The long line stretches out onto the main road. In the garage, patients sit in neat rows on plastic chairs. The house has no nameplate which could indicate that it was a clinic owned by Dr. Aznan Lelo.

Aznan, pharmacology professor at the University of North Sumatra (USU), earned his PhD overseas. He is well-known for the efficacy of his m
