Applause rippled through the room as the name 'Gilang Ramadhan' reverberated off the walls. Gilang, the drummer, stood onstage with his bandmates Donny Suhendra (guitar), Adi Darmawan (bass), and the dreadlocked vocalist, Ivan Nestorman, from Ruteng, Nusa Tenggara Timur.

The four were performing at the Toraja International Festival held in Tana Toraja's Ke'te Kesu Village, South Sulawesi. They have named their jazz-meets-ethnic music group The Komo
