Oyster Mushrooms for the Local Economy
To resolve conflict over fresh water, Sungai Buluh villagers requested mushroom farms for their village. These farms have become an alternative livelihood for the villagers.

Rika Selvianis wakes up at 6:30 in the morning on some days to water her oyster mushroom bag logs. "They like to grow in a humid environment," said the 23yearold about the mushrooms in her farm, located next to her home at Sungai Buluh, West Sumatra.
