Selamat's decision to switch from driving public transport to growing patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) two years ago has changed his life for the better. He was reluctant to divulge his income, but suffice to say, Selamat no longer has any financial worries. "Now I can renovate my house, although it's not that big," he said. The driver-turned-farmer is chairman of the Patchouli Farmers Association in the subdistrict of Moramo, Southeast Sulawesi, and is
