I would like to use my rights of response regarding the article in TEMPO edition 11-17 September 2000, titled "Indonesian Paintings: Business or Art?".

TEMPO reporters indeed investigated my studio, as well as conducted an interview with me. However, based on my recollection of the interview, I have never said anything about collectors asking about the owner of blank canvases.

Maybe this was actually said by another artist whom TEMPO had misquot
