Police called Gusti Sjaifuddin an illegal logger, the Forestry Service named him an oil palm plantation businessman who had abused his license. The fugitive has now surrendered to police.

THE different steps were shown by East Kalimantan Regional Police and the local Forestry Service. The case they were handling involved a notable figure in the region, retired Major-General Gusti Sjaifuddin, who surrendered last November 12 after he had become a fugitive for six months.
