IT'S 40 meters under the earth's crust, far beneath the high waves of the Sunda Strait. In the dark tunnel, a train is moving fast. There's no engine rumble, only the hiss of electric motors and friction between steel wheels and rail tracks. Passengers are almost lulled by soft music and cool air in their cabins. At the rear, cargo trucks carry well-strapped cars. The train keeps on hissing, running through the gloom.
