There is increasing interest to use human excrement as alternative fuel. Government support is necessary for installation costs.

THE Family Welfare & Empowerment (PKK) room was pervaded by the drone of busy people. On Wednesday evening last week, over a dozen housewives from Neighborhood Unit 08, Petojo Utara subdistrict, Central Jakarta, were preparing food for the activities of their integrated service station (Posyandu). While working, they were gossiping. Their topics ranged from artists’ marriages and divorces to soaring prices of necessities.
