Fanny Henry Tondo's heart nearly broke when the 70-year-old lady standing in front of him refused to speak. She tried to run and hide at the back of her house. Fortunately, after the 38-year-old Tondo explained that the purpose of his visit was to research the Gamkonora language, the old lady's fears subsided.
