A number of problems could probably be solved with new autonomy laws, but even newer problems are also likely to appear. The revision of these laws needs to be inspired with an attuned vision of the 21st century.

The Republic of Indonesia is a unitary nation that has only recently decentralized power to the large and small regions alike.
