I LIKE looking at old pictures.

There is a scary one from 17th century Italy. It is a woodblock print on paper, and it records a scene in Milan in 1630. It goes like this:

The plague was rife, and some citizens, called the untori, were accused of spreading the disease. They were arrested and dragged by ox cart around the town. Tortured all the while.
