But recently something has been happening, something that seems to be coming from anxiety, making people consider the State capable of dealing with sin as something measurable with prison terms. In other words, sin-which is in God’s jurisdiction, where deeds are made to stand before transcendental power and wisdom-is being moved to the State arena. Sin is turning into criminality.
