Young people in the hundreds of thousands, lining up in yellow hardhats and masks, like the masked faces in the film V for Vendetta. They are protesting against the power they do not want.

But this is not in an imaginary London. This is the district of Sha Tin in Hong Kong. This is Tsuen Wan street, part of Route 5, and anywhere, in almost every corner of this prosperous city of hills and shores—the area of China that is not happy
