Those That Shine and Have Been Tested

As the last days of the year were slipping past, we raced against time to find the brightest stars in the art world and cities that deserve to be recognized for their architectural treasures. We selected, discussed, and debated them before making our choices. In the arts, figures emerged who have made important contributions with their work. Besides those from literature, visual arts, performing arts and film who routinely appear, this year we added music. The increasingly mature Indie "culture" contributed many musical works which are strong but have escaped attention. For architecture, we have given priority to landscape. Specifically in cities that have successfully stimulated public activities in outdoor spaces.

THERE'S always a time when masters who defeated their competition in the past-and achieved the height of their success-return and once again overcome their opponents. This isn't a tale of martial arts-in which such episodes often appear. But, as an example, it is just about what has happened in the selection of Tempo's version of this year's prominent artists.
