Entrusted with the Family Business

Jusuf Kalla was entrusted with the family business at a young age. His younger siblings were asked pursue their careers from the bottom up.

HALIM Kalla still remembers a telephone call from his older brother, Jusuf, 34 years ago. At the time, in the mid-1980s, 24-year-old Halim had just graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the State University of New York in Buffalo, USA. On arrival in Indon
