IT was very easy [for us] to select Yosep Anggi Noen as Indonesia's best director of 2016. Anggi's direction in the film Istirahatlah Kata-Kata (Solo, Solitude) is mature and effective in interpreting an episode in the life of artist-activist Wiji Thukul, a public figure who played a big part in Indonesia's reformasi struggle.
