The mostly empty plot of land lies on the side of the Semarang-Demak Highway, Kilometer 9, Central Java. There is only a security guard post at the entrance--no signboards or other markers indicating that the land will soon be transformed into the Central Java Industrial Zone. "The goal is for three companies to start building factories in the area by the end of this year," said Setyo Adi Paminto, JatengLand's head of operations.
