Hard Work in the East

South Halmahera is as far away from Jakarta as its sobriquet, but one can take a direct flight from Jakarta to the small country in the Indian Ocean known for its beautiful beaches. But to get to South Halmahera in North Maluku, one would have to take two connecting flights. Three hours and 50 minutes after departing from Jakarta, the traveler arrives at Sultan Baabullah Airport in Ternate. From this airport, travelers have to fly another 35 minutes to Oesman Sadik Airport in Labuha, on the only flight to Labuha, which flies out once a day in the afternoon, on Wings Air. This same flight will head back to Ternate the next morning.
