Seeking a Minister from Bali

His success in breaking open the Bali bombing network is likely to take Pastika on to a ministerial position. But he has yet to be contacted by the PDI-P.

Bali Police Chief, Insp. Gen. I Made Mangku Pastika made light of rumors about his possible ministerial post in the new government. The Balinese, 52, was commenting on reports of his candidacy as a member in Mega’s next cabinet. Last week, at a meeting of the national and regional police chiefs from all over Indonesia, he totally ignored reporters’ questions about the issue.
