RESIDENTS pay a visit to their neighbors during Idul Fitri end of fasting month celebrations amidst floods in Sayung village, Demak Regency, Central Java, Wednesday, April 10. The village has been inundated for 28 days since March 13 due to the overflow of the Dombo-Sayung River that is unable to contain the high rainfall runoff. The flood has yet to recede with water levels varying up to 70 centimeters, disrupting the activities and mobility of residents in celebrating Idul Fitri celebrations. Residents hope for the Demak Regency government to increase the number of operating water pumps for a quicker flood drainage. ANTARA/Aji Styawan
