A SINKING REALITY IN BEKASI

FLOODWATERS submerge the area around the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium in Kayuringin, West Bekasi, West Java, March 4, 2025. According to the Bekasi Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), flooding at 20 locations across the city resulted from the overflow of the Cikeas and Cileungsi rivers, with water levels ranging from 20 to 300 centimeters. Data from the Bekasi City Government indicate that the floods have affected 16,000 residents, with approximately 5,000 displaced.
