ROWS of vehicles wishing to cross to the island of Sumatra are caught in gridlock before boarding onto the roll on-roll off (RoRo) ferry at the Merak Port in Banten on Wednesday, April 27. Port operating company data shows, at least 22,700 vehicles have crossed the strait to Sumatra with a total number of passengers of 192,810 persons since 10 days before the end-of-fasting-month Idul Fitri celebration.
