FLOATING FESTIVAL

PEOPLE push kajangs (boats decorated like a cruise ship) during the Bakajang tradition on the Batang Mahek River, Limapuluhkota Regency, West Sumatra, Thursday, May 5. Bakajang is a tradition of decorating boats to celebrate the end-of-fasting-month Idul Fitri celebration, as well as an event to increase the relationship between the people, ninik mamak (community leaders), ulemas and the government, with the aim of strengthening unity, preserving cultural customs.
