WHAT A WASTE

A TEAM member of the Nusantara River Expedition (ESN) shows medical plastic waste that are not properly managed and are thrown away haphazardly and finally end up in the river in the Ujung Pancu, Greater Aceh Regency, Aceh, on Thursday, June 2. The ESN team found chlorine, phosphate, and heavy metals exceeding capacity, and microplastics in health studies and detection operations at the Aceh Krueng and several other rivers in the city of Banda Aceh and Greater Aceh.
