A number of royal soldiers of the Ternate Sultanate carry a litter carrying the 49th Sultan of Ternate Hidayat Mudaffar Sjah in it to the Ternate Sultanate Mosque for the Kolano Uci Sabea traditional ceremony in Ternate City, North Maluku, Thursday, April 6. The Kolano Uci Sabea has been a tradition for hundreds of years for the Ternate Sultanate, enacted on the 15th night of Ramadan and marked by the departure of the Sultan from the palace to the Sultanate Mosque, which is carried and escorted by traditional forces and the community to perform tarawih prayer.
