SEVERAL children are playing in the rice field area impacted by drought due to the dry season in Pajukukang village, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi, on Sunday, June 25. The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has estimated that the chance of the El Nino phenomenon in Indonesia in June 2023 increased from 50-60 percent previously to 80 percent so that central and regional governments are expected to immediately take anticipatory actions in areas with the potential for dryness and its further impact.
