Sami Elhag's life changed drastically on December 15, 2001. On that last day of the Ramadhan fasting month, at the Pakistani town of Chaman, Al Jazeera cameraman Elhag was arrested by the Pakistani military just when he was about to cross the border into Afghanistan to cover the American war against the Taliban.
