The Jakarta High Court overruled a verdict sentencing BI Governor Sjahril Sabirin to three years in prison. It declared Sabirin not guilty, despite his knowledge of the controversial Bank Bali fund disbursement.

Syahril Sabirin rarely comes to work late. However, on Friday, August 30, he ambled in to work at midday, beaming with joy. The previous day, Sabirin had been exonerated from a three year prison sentence on appeal at the Jakarta High Court.
