THE murder trial of Adiguna Sutowo entered a critical stage last week at the Central Jakarta District Court, when the presiding judicial panel summoned key witnesses to the stand to give testimony. Several witnesses gave testimonies conflicting with their original police statements. Only witness testimony in court is admissible, police statements are inadmissible as evidence.
