THE building in the final stages of construction at the Banyeman Permai Housing Complex in Jogjakarta, is larger than the neighboring buildings. Dozens of people are visible working on the site. They are putting together the stones to build a wall, coating the floors with cement and painting the walls of the building and compound. “We are at the final stages,” said Eko Prawoto, the architect.
