World Food Day in Makassar

The South Sulawesi government has been named host of the World Food Day on November 6-11. Hasanuddin Ibrahim, an official from the Agriculture Ministry's horticulture directorate-general, said World Food Day will be celebrated simultaneously with the national flora week and will take place at Maccini Sombala of Indonesia Building in Makassar.

According to Hasanuddin, South Sulawesi has been named the host because of the local government's commitment to promoting agriculture.
