Balinese Students Place Fourth In Us Math Competition

TWO students from Bali, I Kadek Sudiarsana and I Dewa Gede Ary, have developed a traditional Bali gringsing weaving motif using a mathematical formula. The pair's research, both of whom are students of Mandara State High School in Singaraja, Bali, earned them fourth place in the mathematics category at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) competition held on May 10-15 in Pittsburgh, US.
