Thai serials aired on Indonesian TV stations number far less than Latin American or Mandarin ones. The plots, however, are near and dear to many Indonesians.

AT the bank of a swampy river, so the legend says, there are three supernatural crocodiles. The Thai film Krai Thong gives a detailed description of these crocodiles as half humans and half animals very fond of gobbling up villagers. The fight between the villagers and crocodiles rages violently as the villagers nurture their age-old tradition that to burn their sexual desire they must drink a concoction made from crocodile genitals.
