Sanggar Suara Bintan is the one and only wayang bangsawan studio that still exists in the Riau Islands. It hopes to stay alive through lessons on local content in the school curriculum.

"WE haven’t performed in 20 years,” said Tusiran Suseno, Director of Suara Bintan Studio, the only group of wayang or drama bangsawan that still exists in Riau Islands, two weeks ago.
