THAT night Sahilin, a solo guitarist known as Batanghari Sembilan, appeared on stage in long-sleeve batik, with an old guitar, and a pair of black glasses covering his blind eyes after smallpox suffered from when he was still a child. Sahilin was performing at a party in Lemabang, Palembang, late in July. By his side stood Siti Romlah who was to recite pantun to each other with him.
Sahilin opened with Kaos Lampu or better-known as Buruk Tegant
