This year's Venice Biennale, the largest art event in the world, takes place for the first time in the Arsenale, a place of shipyards and workshops from which the Italian city once drew vast naval power. The Biennale, held every two years with artists from all over the world, opened on June 1 and runs through November 24. This year's theme: Il Palazzo Enciclopedico, or The Encyclopedic Palace. Who created the most interesting works? And how is the Indonesian Pavilion stacking up against those of the other countries? Tempo reporter Seno Joko Suyono reports from Venice.

The Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy, usually closes by 6pm. Visitors typically cannot enjoy the incredible collection at this hour. Peggy was the daughter of billionaire Benjamin Guggenheim, who died when the Titanic went down. Her uncle was Solomon R. Guggenheim, a businessman, philanthropist and collector of renowned paintings who established the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
