The Film Censorship Institute is seen by filmmakers as overly repressive. But the institute says the public needs protecting.

Director Harry Suharyadi is annoyed. His film Pachinko and Everyone's Happy was cut by 16 minutes by the Film Censorship Institute (LSF). That's a lot of film. "So your movie has become a short film," laughs Garin Nugroho consolingly at the New Indonesia Cinema discussion.
