UNESCO has declared three sites in Bali as world heritage sites.

SUKARNO seemed to know well why he had chosen Tampak Siring Palace, Gianyar, as his resting place in Bali. This site is home for ancient temples dating from the times before the Majapahit Kingdom exerted its power over Bali. Many temples are nestled in the mountainsides along the river basin area of Pakerisan River, Tampak Siring. Tirta Empul, which is located below Tampak Siring Palace, is just one of the temples there.
